Have you ever had a pint so perfect it made you weep (just a tad), or a Sunday roast so outstanding that it deserved a standing ovation?

Reviewing your favourite pub (ahem, that’s us) isn’t just an ego boost for our hard working, food-cooking, pint-pouring people – it helps fellow pub-lovers sniff out the good stuff too. Think of it as leaving a trail of breadcrumbs for the next lucky pub-goer.

You guys have really made us blush with some of your recent compliments. You’ve been raving about your roasts, talking up your tipples and you’ve got us beaming with the brilliant feedback on our oh-so comfy bedrooms.

That’s why we just had to have a mini round-up of some of our best reviews, like, ever.

Fantastic – Chrissie 13th May ‘25

Fantastic place to stay. Ideal location, Hospitality excellent. Great welcome and the lady on reception tells you all you need to know.

The bedrooms are superb, with everything you need for your stay and a very comfortable bed. I particularly liked the two hooks on the back of the bathroom door – it’s the little touches that matter.

We also had lunch and dinner here, food excellent and service great. Breakfast in the morning was also superb lots to choose from including cooked breakfast. There is nothing I didn’t like, it was fantastic!

Wallington’s Hidden Breakfast Gem – May 2025

I’ve been for a Sunday roast many times but the hidden gem is their breakfast menu which we discovered today.

Continental buffet plus Full English and all you can drink teas, coffees, juices for £13.50 is ridiculously good value.

The food quality is fantastic and best of all was the service from Lauren. It’s great place to have breakfast in their sunny garden and free parking. What more can you ask for?

Great time at the Duke’s Head – Robert 11 th May ‘25

Absolutely amazing staff, food and atmosphere.

We only stayed for 1 night but will definitely be returning for a longer stay. The food was lovely and very reasonably priced.

The room was very clean and the bed was so comfy cosy we really enjoyed our short stay at the Dukes Head.

Sunday Lunch – Tom 6th May ‘25

We had a lovely Sunday lunch. The food was excellent, my roast beef was lovely and the rest of the table food was great and my family were very complimentary about their food too.

Would not hesitate to go again and highly recommend. James was great as part of the waiting staff.

Hosting an Event – Daniel 27th April ‘25

We hosted an event at the Duke’s Head this week and everything went as hoped.

The team were very supportive and flexible in the run-up and on the day. We had use of The Lavender Lounge, which is a good-sized space and were able to play videos and music. There is a large car park, so it’s great for hosting a gathering.

Everyone was very pleased with the food – we selected five dishes from the buffet and there was a good
spread of meat, veggie and vegan options available. Thanks to the team for making our day.
